Main Conference 2019

TEDxUniversityofGlasgow is proud to announce the theme of this year’s conference:

“Wrong Way – Go Ahead”

Telling histories of exclusion and refusal to comply with the norm and how these can lead to greatness, self-accomplishment and achievement.

The TEDxUniversityofGlasgow 2019 Conference is an exciting all-day event happening on Saturday, 2nd of March. Attendants can expect to hear 10 speakers from all over the world presenting their ideas in a classic and concise TED-like fashion, all revolving around our theme. There will be a variety of performers interluding them, as well as some pre-recorded TED talks. During the lunch and coffee breaks, everyone will get a chance to take part in our exhibition space with interactive booths. Perhaps you can even spot a speaker or two in the crowd and ask them a few questions about their work. It will all be tied together with the 2019 theme Wrong Way – Go Ahead

The countdown until the Main Conference 2019 has started! The Conference is taking place on the 2nd of March!

What is TEDx?

In the Spirit of ideas worth spreading TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUniversityofGlasgow, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxUniversityofGlasgow event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides a general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
